Abstract
This paper presents a brief analysis of the concept of science. As a starting point there are taken the so-called Critical Theory and Instrumental Reason, present in the work of German philosopher Max Horkheimer. Moreover, reasons are given of why some of the examined categories of the Frankfurt School are valid in order to understand and formulate critical reflexions on globalizing technological processes and the consequences that derive from this phenomenon.
