Abstract
This is a fundamentally theoretical work, in which a number of central points of the intellectual biography of the author to then take two important concepts of their academic production will be described: cycle of protest and modularity. The purpose of the work is not to create a glossary of terms the author but make a critical review articulated with examples that illustrate the proposal, in addition to problematize. The examples do not follow a linear chronological or geographic route but are oriented to Latin America and particularly to Mexico.
