Abstract

This article examines the legacy of Rosario Castellanos, highlighting her role as Mexico's ambassador to Israel and her influence on cultural diplomacy. Castellanos, a writer and human rights advocate, built bridges between Mexico and Israel through art and literature. Her impact endures through the "Rosario Castellanos" cathedra at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, founded in her honor. This cathedra promotes academic and cultural exchange, fostering dialogues on literature, history, and contemporary social issues. Additionally, conferences and activities organized under the cathedra have strengthened the friendship between both nations. The article concludes by celebrating the power of culture to enrich human relations and emphasizes how Castellanos's legacy continues to inspire present and future generations through cultural diplomacy.
